About Me
👋🏼 I’m April
I’m a former anxious-girlie-turned-therapist who knows what it is like to look capable on the outside while quietly white-knuckling life on the inside.
Therapy without slowing down, separating from unhelpful thoughts, and building a life that actually works, even when anxiety or uncertainty show up.
Who I Work With
I work primarily with women who are high functioning, overwhelmed, and ready for real change, not endless venting.
My specialties:
Intrusive thoughts
Overfunctioning + burnout
Perfectionism + comparison
Clients often come to me feeling stuck in loops of worry, guilt, or mental exhaustion, even though they are capable, driven, and self-aware.
Availability: I work with clients via Telehealth across Utah.
More About Me
I grew up in Utah and understand the cultural pressure to present perfection, fit in, and keep it together, even when things feel messy inside.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Utah leads in both antidepressant use and cosmetic procedures. I understand that pull intimately.
Before opening my private practice, I worked with incarcerated individuals in Wyoming, which deeply shaped how I see resilience, responsibility, and change. I also know what it is like to overfunction in work environments that do not respect life outside the job.
Outside of therapy, I am a mom to a daughter. I love hiking, camping, hot yoga, and reading nonfiction. I enjoy cooking and constantly trying new recipes, and I rarely repeat them.
Authenticity matters more to me than appearances, both in life and in therapy.
